Designer Jane Tran created her self-titled collection of hair jewelry in 1998, following her move to Los Angeles. The line, representing Tran’s individuality and sense of style, features semi-precious stones and natural materials, including pearls, turquoise, corals and crystals.

Olga King’s self-titled jewelry line, formerly known as Amber Road Imports, is based in Memphis, Tennessee. The line started when the Russian-American designer began importing amber after her move to the States in 2002.

The line of handcrafted necklaces, earrings and bracelets are each one-of-a-kind and constructed of semiprecious stones and freshwater pearls with sterling silver and gold-plated wiring components.

This season, King’s creations feature bright-hued stones that are perfect for summer.

Designer Spotlight: Andrea Carrano

In the early 1950s, Andrea Carrano started his self-titled shoe line, moving the ballet flat from the dance studio to the street for everyday wear. His widow, Betta Carrano is now reviving the original line and starting her own collection.

Betta recently spoke with WSAToday about Andrea’s line and discussed how customers are reacting to the brand’s re-launch.

“People come to my store in Manhattan and tell me ‘I can’t believe you’re back in business, I got married in these shoes,’” recalls Betta. “When you have a long history in the business, people remember and are attached.”

This season, the Andrea Carrona line includes the Doll and Boston flats, both available at Peria.
